PASO ROBLES, Calif. (May 1, 2002) - Rabbit Ridge
Winery is pleased to announce its newest wine release; the Westside
Collection. It is named after the rolling calcareous hillsides found on
the West Side of Paso Robles, an area reminiscent of the great vineyards
of France and Italy.
"The West Side’s unique microclimate, coastal
influence and higher elevation combined with marginally fertile soil
create the perfect setting for producing the highest quality grapes we
demand for our wines," says Erich Russell, Rabbit Ridge owner and
winemaker. Implementing years of fine winemaking techniques and influenced
by the great beauty of Italy, Erich created this collection to reflect his
passion for Tuscany and the West Side’s similar charm.
The
Westside Collection bears a new distinct label for Rabbit Ridge in hues of
terracotta, butter and blue with gold accents. It symbolizes the richness
and traditions of great Tuscany vineyards from the terrain of Italy, now
found in this noteworthy West Side location of Paso Robles.
