Paso Robles Winery - Open House May 1, 2003

On May 1st we celebrated our official opening of the Rabbit Ridge Paso Robles Winery with a tasting, tour and celebration of 22 years in business.   Invited guests included all employees and owners of local wineries and restaurants in addition to local business affiliates who contributed to the construction of our new facility.   We enjoyed media coverage from the local NBC affiliate; appearing on the 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. news, as well as several write-ups in local newspapers.

Our 250 guests were offered guided tours and an evening of wine tasting.   Everyone enjoyed a variety of our wines including Winemakers Grand Reserve Cabernet, Erich Russell Merlot, Sonoma Chardonnay, Montepiano and Allure.   We also introduced our new 2001 Paso Robles Zinfandel and Primitivo.   Each of our family members and managers hosted a station and poured wines for our guests.   Robert, our Director of Operations manned the Primitivo Station and was the star of the event until Erich pulled out the Paso Robles Petite Syrah.   These new wines were the hit of the night.

Joanne, Sandy and Kathy pose holding a painting by the three sister's mother, Janice James, prior to the Grand Opening.   Janice is a well known water color artist from St. Petersburg, Florida.

The same painting was used for the new billboard that can be seen while driving north bound on highway 101, just north of the Spring Street exit on the north end of Paso Robles.

Our new tasting room officially opens on Thursday, May 15, just in time for the annual Wine Fest weekend in Paso Robles.
