Introducing: Le Lapin - Our New Value Wine!

Le Lapin is the French word for rabbit.   It is also the name of our brand new line of wine produced from grapes grown exclusively in Paso Robles.   All of the Le Lapin wines are non-vintage, which means two or more vintages can be used to make the wine.   This allows us to blend a newer vintage wine for freshness with an older vintage for complexity or to make the wine more drinkable.   This is especially important when we use tannic varietals such as Syrah and Petite Sirah. Le Lapin Petite Sirah label

Le Lapin will always be the best value wine produced by Rabbit Ridge Winery.   This wine will be sold for $6 per bottle in the Rabbit Ridge Tasting Room.   What?   You say Rabbit Ridge is producing yet another low priced, high quality wine?   Well this can only mean one thing!   "The Rabbit" intends for this wine to taste as good, if not better than the $12 bottle of wine you purchase from another winery.

The first variety of Le Lapin, the Petite Sirah, is now available (bottled 5/19/09) and additional varieties of Le Lapin will be available soon. Our very first release includes some big, bold, classic varietals that Paso Robles is very well-known for: Zinfandel, Syrah and Petite Sirah.

Although Le Lapin wines are made in an every-day style and are ready to drink now, they should age well for a few years.
