VINEYARD PROFILE
The Paso Robles Allure de Robles is produced from grapes grown on three of our vineyards on the west side of Paso Robles.   The first is Cristalla Ranch which surrounds the main winery on San Marcos Road. The vines from this vineyard are from an old clone of Syrah that was grafted for Rabbit Ridge and two different clones of Syrah - the Estrella clone and the Tablas Creek clone.   The second vineyard is located on Live Oak Road in the hills on the north side of Highway 46 West.   This vineyard is one of the highest in Paso Robles, located at 1,600 feet elevation.   This vineyard has large amounts of limestone in the soil with an average soil pH of approximately 8.   From the Live Oak Vineyard come three different clones of Syrah; Estrella, Tablas Creek and Entav 877.   These vines are planted in three distinctly different locations within the vineyard and the fruit ripens as much as three weeks apart.   The third vineyard is located on the way to Lake Nacimiento on Vista Serrano Road.   This vineyard is also rich in limestone soil.   From this vineyard there are two clones of Syrah; Estrella and Tablas Creek.   In addition this vineyard produces our Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Petite Sirah.

WINEMAKER'S COMMENTS
Our vineyards in Paso Robles are in the ideal climate and soil conditions for Rhone varietal wines.   The 2007 growing season was fantastic for Rhone varietals in Paso Robles and experts say it was the best Rhone varietal growing season n the history of France.   Allure de Robles is an estate grown wine that is produced in Cotes du Rhone style.   This wine is primarily a blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre.   The clones of the grapes are predominantly from Tablas Creek Winery and Vineyard Nursery, meaning they are cuttings from both the Château Beaucastle in the famous Chateauneuf-du-Pape region of France and French Entav budwood.   The vineyard is still young so it is producing a wine similar in style to a Cotes du Rhone but one which should age well for several years.   Bottled on April 27, 2009.   6,131 cases produced.

TASTING NOTES
This wine is medium bodied with strawberry and cherry overtones from the Grenache, body from the Syrah and earthiness from the Mourvèdre.   Our Allure de Robles is a great choice for sipping or with a wide variety of foods.
