VINEYARD PROFILE
The 2003 Paso Robles Petite Sirah, Chalkrock is produced from grapes grown on two of our west side vineyards. The first is our Live Oak Road vineyard in the hills on the north side of Highway 46 West. This vineyard is one of the highest in Paso Robles, located at 1,600 feet elevation. In addition, this vineyard has large amounts of limestone in the soil with an average soil pH of 8. The second vineyard is located on the way to Lake Nacimiento on Vista Serrano Road. This vineyard is also rich in limestone soil. TASTING NOTES Our Paso Robles Petite Sirah is a rich, fruity red wine made from grapes grown on chalky, limestone soil the locals refer to as "Chalkrock." Enjoy this dark, flavorful wine with rich, hearty cuisine like Braised Beef Short Ribs or Ossobuco. Only 625 cases produced. Visit the "Awards and Reviews" page on our website for a complete list of awards on our wines. |
