WINEMAKER'S COMMENTS
In 2004 we produced a Pinot Grigio from one of the only plantings on the west side; most Pinot Grigio from Paso Robles is produced on the east side where the climate is much hotter.   The wine was wonderful but we were unable to obtain the grapes again because they were in such high demand.   When the vineyard came up for sale a few years ago we purchased it however the grapes were obligated to other customers through the year 2008.

This delicious wine is produced from one of the coolest locations of calcareous soil on the Paso Robles west side.   The grapes were crushed directly to the press then immediately pressed to a cold stainless steel tank where they slowly fermented in order to retain the total fruit character.   The wine boasts a medium bodied texture while retaining crisp acidity from the limestone soil.
